Frankfurt/ Germany, April 29, 2010 – Ypsilon.Net AG, global travel IT provider, and UK-based Everbread announced today that, starting May, Everbread’s fares and pricing engine Haystack will be available to all Ypsilon customers via Ypsilon’s travel technology products FlightPro, XML Pro, and Agentweb. Haystack searches directly ATPCO, OAG, IATA, and other industry data feeds to construct and validate itineraries completely outside the GDSs. Through Haystack, Ypsilon’s customers will gain access to affordable, faster, and better fares and pricing and still continue to book in their preferred GDS or direct connect.

The announcement comes after more than 6 months of extensive testing of Haystack alongside current GDS search solutions in Ypsilon’s platform. The tests confirmed that Haystack is faster and returns more and cheaper flight options. Haystack’s integration is part of the strategic partnership between Ypsilon and Everbread.

Some of the main features resulting from the Everbread-Ypsilon partnership are: Data Integration.

Leveraging Ypsilon’s low-cost feed, net fares and direct connects, Haystack integrates all data sources with the ATPCO feed to provide a single consolidated result. The system even allows consolidators to use multiple points of sale and agency IDs to identify the cheapest booking opportunity. By including such a wide variety of sources (ATPCO Published Fares, Private Fares, Net Fares, low-cost carriers and many more ) the Ypsilon-Haystack combination presents itineraries that include an exhaustive set of search results and features. .

Exhaustive Single Search and Split-Tickets.

In addition to two one-ways, Haystack also provides split-tickets across any combination of low-cost and full-service airlines. This unique feature results in finding much cheaper ways to travel. Tour Operators that are currently penalized by the high transaction costs of traditional GDS search can search thoroughly across all fare sources in a single search and get dynamic packaging at an affordable cost. .

Fresh Data and Reduced Booking Failure.

Using an advanced algorithm, Haystack provides reliable availability prediction and screening to greatly reduce the occurrence of troublesome UC or NO Status messages that are common in a traditional GDS solution. Haystack's high performance hardware architecture allows for real-time Flex Search as opposed to other providers that traditionally serve from cache.

In Germany, Haystack is currently available only to Industry Consolidators, Agencies, and Airlines that use Ypsilon’s products. .
